Viewing Hands in Swat 3

I've received a lot of questions about viewing hands in Swat 3 1st person view. This feature is actually built into the game and can be accessed through the console.

1. To open the console hold down the shift key and ~
2. Type handsup and then hit enter
3. escape key exits console

Your hands will now be viewable. I really like this setting even though it has problems, overall it improves my game experience. Other players hate it so its really up to the individual, I recommend trying it out xD

Sorry for Delayed Response

Just want to thank everyone that has emailed me and posted to this blog. My comp suffered a hard drive failure and I have been relying on my iPod touch for internet access xD

1. Sorry for not emailing the Blue Light mod to those who have requested it. If anyone can host it that would be awesome.

2. I didn't anticipate the technical issues that people would be having with Blue Light. It was designed according my Swat 3 install and everyone in the DNC community. We have swat patched to USA version 2.1 and the Last Resort mod installed. Blue Light takes advantage of the larger resolution texture limits of Last Resort. If you haven't installed Last Resort, I highly recommend it. It is not a gameplay mod, instead it expands some of the technical limits of the original game code.

3. If you need help patching Swat to the latest version with Last Resort and/or are interested in playing Swat 3 multiplayer online via VPN, I highly encourage you to visit the DNC community website. Post a new thread in the introduction forum and you will be greeted by fellow Swat vets who will help you patch the game, set up the VPN software and get onto our teamspeak server for voice communication.

Blue Light Mod for Swat 3 has just been completed! It is a multi-mod compiled from the all-time best Swat 3 mods. It includes the gun models, textures and sounds from BBE & RTRT, blood and muzzle flash FX from Armed forces, and new gun sights. AI agression is way up for a really intense combat experience. Swat 3 has reached its full potential.

WON - Old Pics 2000-2001

WON was the official Sierra server for Swat 3 multiplayer. That's where we talked shit in the lobby, made friends, talked more shit in the lobby, formed clans, set up TDM/DM matches and co-op sessions. When we weren't on WON we kept in touch through clan and fan websites, official Sierra Forums, IM clients like AIM and ICQ, and voice chat apps like Roger Wilco, Ventrilo and microsoft sidewinder.

I had been on WON since Swat 2 so I was used to beef in the lobby, that was the nastiest group of people I've ever encountered in my life.

Oh yeah, did I mention that we used to talk shit in the lobby? xD

These pictures are a random collection of ancient Swat 3 history sitting on a dusty cd-r for the last 9 years. Now here for the entire internets to enjoy. Some of the pics are group portraits of my old clan, Elite Assassin Force. Others are screenshots we used to take of fallen clan rivals. And then just other randomness...

I will never understand hacking multiplayer, they've ruined the idea of public servers across the board. If you don't know someone, you can't trust them. It's a shame, because the competition in DM and TDM used to be sick. My clan was targeted by hackers in early 2001, prob the first instance on swat 3. It's been a downward spiral ever since.
